Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 24, 2026. MarksDrive is a web application. This policy explains what we collect and why.
Information we collect
- When you create an account: your name and email address. If you sign in with a third-party provider, we also receive your profile photo.
- When you use email and password: we store a salted hash of your password, never the password itself.
- Your profile: the preferences and settings you save to your account.
- Things you save: the content and items you add to your account, along with the notes and metadata associated with them.
How we use it
We use your data to provide the service: delivering the features described on this site and remembering your preferences. We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising.
Third-party services
- Sign-in provider — if you sign in with a third-party provider, that provider handles the sign-in and shares your name, email, and profile photo with us. The provider's own privacy policy applies to what it collects.
- Search provider — your search queries are sent to a third-party search API to find candidate results.
- AI services — content you ask us to process is sent to third-party AI services so we can extract and structure it.
- Hosting — your data is stored in a hosted database.
Cookies
We use one session cookie to keep you signed in. We use no analytics or advertising cookies.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and everything stored with it at any time by contacting us at [email protected].
Children
MarksDrive is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. The effective date above reflects the latest version.
